Zagreb has quietly become one of the most dynamic urban performances in Europe.

The arrival of the Croatian capital increased by 2%, with overnight stays jumping 8% in July this year, welcoming more than 151,000 tourists and nearly 282,000 overnight bookings, according to the city's Tourism Bureau.

Top guests are from Germany, the United States and Spain, which also leads to the nights throughout the night.

Zagreb continued its upward trend with more than 767,000 arrivals and 1.5 million nights in the first seven months of 2025, combining cultural charm with the appeal of the business tourism industry.

Martina Bienenfeld, head of tourism, said Zagreb is confirming its position as a sustainable and competitive urban destination, attributeing success to improving content, improving quality and targeted promotion efforts.

The city's strong “city rest” identity, especially popular among American and German travelers, put it at the forefront of Croatia's tourism industry – a kind that looks set to flourish further, geopolitical allows.
