Norman, Oklahoma. – UCLA Men's Golf Program has won the 2024-25 Platform Golf Team Academic Award, as announced by the American Golf Coaches Association (GCAA) on Tuesday.
Men's Golf Program with Team Achievement Average (GPA) is listed as a platform golf team academic award. GCAA awards college courses, and their GPA teams exceed 3.0 and 3.5.
UCLA is a multiple program in the NCAA Division I program designed to earn a GPA of 3.0 or higher to win the difference of “full academics”. The Bruins ended their 2024-25 season in the NCAA Championship for the first time after winning the 2025 Big Ten Championship.
This summer, senior Pablo Ereño was recognized as an All-American Cobalt Scholar for the third straight season. Ereño is the Top 10 Men's Golfer of the Year for 2024-25 and was named an Academic All-American Men's Ethnic First Team Winner once the spring of Bruins ended.
Redshirt sophomore Matthew Yamin received honors at the end of the academic year of the UCLA’s full academic team, which consists of individuals from each track and field team with the highest cumulative GPA.
