Todd and Julie Chrisley are acclimating to real life after prison.
The reality TV couple admitted that life outside was harder than their life in prison.
Julie, 52, began explaining on the episode of the Chrisley Confersions 2.0 podcast Wednesday, July 23, “I actually talked to some of the women I’m in jail.”

“We all reached this general consensus – it’s weird to even say it.”
Todd, 56, added: “No, it's not surprising. Life is harder than life in prison.”
“It's so scary, the conditions you're there, but it's from a physical perspective,” he explained. “But it's hard to deal with every day from an emotional and psychological perspective.”

Julie recalls the advice she received early in the verdict, when she was struggling to cope with staying away from her family.
“When I first got there, people told me about this: You can't live there, and here at the same time,” she said. “Because it's actually going to drive you crazy, and that's the truth. The longer you're there, you'll get deleted more and more.”

Chrisleys was convicted of federal bank fraud and tax evasion for the popular reality show “Chrisley Conlage Best”. They both remain innocent.

Since they returned home, the couple has transitioned to the challenges of their lives after jail.
Todd told Julie during the podcast. “Operate the house and make sure everything is done the way it should be.”

Todd continued to be surprised that he had better sleep in prison than at home.
“I was in jail for 28 months. I never slept. Maybe, because I'm not fighting everyone,” Todd said. “Let me tell you something, my mob members – otherwise known as the Chrisley clan – they're the people who have kept me awake for the years.”
Julie also revealed the people about how prisons force her to focus on themselves—not parenting or family drama.

“The longer people stay away from their kids – it sounds crazy because it’s a double-edged sword – the easier it gets because you get into your daily activities.”

Meanwhile, he said at a press conference after his release from prison that faith, family and fitness are the pillars of carrying Todd through incarceration.

He praised Savannah, Chase and Grayson as a saving grace. He also kept in touch with his wife via daily emails.
