Nelson Semedo will be remembered for his consistent and reliable performance on the court, as well as quiet, humble and diligent application and leadership.
The Portuguese joined the club in September 2020 and continues to represent San Francisco 182 times, and the road is not always smooth, but the defender is behind the club again. Last season, he took on the captain’s responsibilities in the most difficult circumstances and helped Wolves gain the Premier League survival.
The 31-year-old has spanned multiple eras during the West Midlands, signing under Nuno Espirito Santo and continuing with four other permanent head coaches – Bruno Lage, Julen Lopetegui, Gary O'Neil and Vitor Pereira.
Back in the beginning, Semedo played in front of Molineux supporters almost the entire season, and his first goal once returned, once he returned – limited in the final day of the 2020/21 match against Manchester United.
As football returned to normal, he grew up in the Wolf's locker room, playing continuously on the right side of Lecci's defense while regularly representing Portugal during the club.
Growing up as a senior member of the locker room, the voice of the leadership group that performed well under O'Neil, has received enough joy from his teammates to be welcomed by his teammates after an impressive 2023/24 campaign.
The club's third and final goal arrived at the FA Cup against Brentford and helped Wolves win a memorable derby victory on the way to Hawthorns to defeat West Bromwich Albion, which will live in honor of Lao Jin supporters.
Last season, Semedo continued to perform well and needed a leader's locker room when he was head coaching at Pereira, and the Portuguese stood up to calculate.
As Pereira's leader on the court, Semedo helped coach Wolves to the second half of the campaign, which included six straight wins. His last game as a Wolves player in May against Brentford, bringing an emotional farewell to the South Bank. The wolf is safe again in the top flight, Semedo draws his story in the right way – the excellent servant of the football club.
