Sloane Stephens has long been admired not only for her dominance on the court, but also for her advocacy for her healthy elegance. Now, Doc & Glo's Grand Slam champion and founder brings the same mindset into the hair care world with her first series in the category.

The lineup includes four staples: scalp shift reset shampoo, chain-strong conditioner, growth theory nourishing hair oils and healthy hair habits nutritious hair support supplements. This simple four-step system takes from cleaning the scalp to strengthening the chain, nourishing the edges and growing from the inside out.

“For me, hair has always been a personal journey,” Stephens told Essence. “I’ve been dealing with my hair all my life, especially traveling like an athlete, and never have my favorite products with me. I want to create something simple, effective and rooted in people like me.”

The tennis player explained that the shampoo helped reset the scalp, the conditioner restored strength and softness, the oil supported the thinning edges, and created supplements to make athletes like her clean and safe. “The staple foods in your daily routine are really important,” she said. “Even if life gets hectic, they can help you stick to your self-care goals.”

For Stephens, the collection also reflects the reality of protective styling, which she has worn throughout her career. “I’ve been braiding or sewing, so I need products that work for this lifestyle,” she explains. The system is designed to make cleaning easier for the day, while also helping to restore and keep hair healthy after the hairstyle. In this way, the line is not just for convenience, but also for respecting the way so many black women take care of their hair and ensuring that these routines are supported.

Going forward, accessibility is key. “We will be in several gyms, which gives us the opportunity to expand our entire product line and meet people who already exist,” she shared.

Stephens tends to the plant abilities of these formulas: eucalyptus, rosemary and Barbuda extracts always appear. While Doc & Glo is known for its fragrance-free spirit, she chose to introduce the delicate scent here – balancing sensory touch with mindfulness formulas.

For tennis players, this series is not just a brand expansion, it also reflects self-care. “At the end of the day, I just want to create hair care for someone like me,” she said. “It's simple, effective, and can adapt to real life.”
