Bruce Springsteen will serve as a performer and guest of honor at one of Hollywood’s most outstanding fundraisers, Academy Museum Gala.
The 75-year-old rock legend, along with actors Penélope Cruz and Bowen Yang and film producer Walter Salles, won honors at a celebration hosted by the Academy Film Museum on October 18.
The high fashion party is now in its fifth year and has been positioned as the West Coast version of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It features a huge red carpet, celebrities from Hollywood and beyond, raising funds for the Los Angeles Museum’s exhibition and education programs.
The party's co-chairs included Jon M. Chu, Common, Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, Julius Tennon, Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey. The host committee includes Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, Adrien Brody, Zoëkravitz, Demi Moore, Colman Domingo, Ke Huy Quan, Meg Ryan and Amy Adams.
Last year’s event paid tribute to Quentin Tarantino, Rita Moreno and Paul Mescal and raised more than $11 million.
