San Diego Padres has improved his chances in 2025, acquiring first baseman Ryan O'Hearn and outfielder Ramon Laureano from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for six minor league players.

In return, the Orioles gained left-handed pitcher Boston Bateman, right-handed pitcher Tyson Neighbor and Tanner Smith, infielders Brandon Butterworth and Cobb Hehhot and utility player Victor Figueroa.

The move comes after AJ Preller, president of Padres’ baseball action, took closer Mason Miller and controllable starter jp Sears from track and field after a shocking move earlier in the day. Later, preller improved his capture situation by bringing Freddy Fermin from the Kansas City Royals.

San Diego also added Left-Hander Nestor Cortes from Milwaukee and Toronto-based utility infielder Will Wagner.

Overall, Padres added seven players to his major league roster through five trades.

“I think we have a team that we can go deeper,” Preller said. “We have these needs, let's fill them up. … Our team puts us in a position of excitement. I think we're making our club better and we look forward to seeing it grow in the coming months.”

Along with O'Hearn and Laureano, preller talked about the crimes that the assessors considered very heavy throughout the year.

O'Hearn is the All-Star starter of this year, punishing right-hand pitching and being in the professional season, slashed .283/.374/.463 with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs. Laureano also had a big offensive year, slashed .290/.355/.529 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs, and provided defensive value with the added arm strength.

Laureano seems to fit the left fielder every day, and O'Hearn puts most of the batsmen at first base or designated batsmen. The No.7, 8 and 9 batsmen in the Padres roster entered their lowest OPS to date in the Grand Slams on Thursday at .584. Now, the lineup is much larger in length, balancing the top orders for Fernando Tatis Jr., Luis Arraez, Manny Machado and Jackson Merrill.

Laureano, 31, was a .252 batsman with 97 home runs and 298 RBIs in his eight-year Major League Baseball career.

“I think we’ve been on a team [already] Can play in the playoffs and hope to figure it out thoroughly and give [manager Mike Shildt] His employees have the opportunity to do their things. ”

“If you're going to win a championship, there's no weak connection,” he continued. “These fragments fit and personality. I'm looking forward to having a lot of conversations with Shildty, discussing the club dynamics and how these guys adapt.”

Padres kept the All-Star game closer to Robert Suarez, who led the Grand Slam with 30 saves inconsistent starter Dylan Cease. Both Suárez and the suspension can reach free agents this winter, but Preller's refusal to make a deal will almost certainly hurt the incumbent's playoff prospects.

Preller told SCEAS on Wednesday that Padres hopes to keep him as the starter before the spin.

“Our best team made Dylan stop and I think he knew that,” Preller said.

Cortez and minor league shortstop Jorge Quintana and cash were obtained from winemakers outfielder Brandon Lockridge.

The 30-year-old Cortes has been on the 60-day injury list for nearly four months due to a left elbow flexion strain. The 2022 All-Stars just completed four recovery efforts, earning 1.00 ERA in 18 innings of Class A and Class A.

Wagner, the son of Hall of Fame son, Billy Wagner, hit .237 in 40 Toronto games this season.
