Tropical waves bring rain to the Bay Area
FOX 13 meteorologist Jim Weber is focusing on three areas of the tropical region, including Dexter, a later tropical system that is being shipped to sea. He is looking at an area near the East Coast that could become a subtropical system because it left the United States. Webber is also monitoring investments in 96L, with 60% development opportunities over the next seven days. There is also a tropical wave in the Bahamas, which is working towards Florida and will increase our rainfall opportunities in the next few days.
2025 Hurricane Season: New Outlook
NOAA releases its latest 2025 hurricane season prospects.
Despite the slightly lower number of expected storms, this update still requires an active season.
They now predict that there is a 50% chance of a season above average (down 60% from previous forecasts).
It is important to remember that this prediction is not specific to Florida.
Dexter is now a tropical cyclone.
It succumbed to the powerful high-rise winds on the North Atlantic and became a winter climate this morning.
NHC tracks 2 interferences in the Atlantic Ocean
We are currently watching two areas for development in tropical areas.
Neither provides any direct problem for the United States.
Low pressure areas are still rarely likely to be an opportunity called a storm because it breaks out of the United States on a similar path to Dexter.
In the mid-tropical Atlantic, we are still monitoring tropical waves (investment 96L) and increase opportunities for development.
There is growing confidence that the weakness of high pressure in its northern part will help shift the system to the Midwest or Western Atlantic next week.
Early weather models also supported this gradual turn northward.
When will the 2025 hurricane season end?
The Atlantic hurricane season is held from June 1 to November 30.
