McDonald's is bringing back a nostalgic character to launch a new happy adult meal that includes a new limited edition milkshake.
Ronald McDonald, Birds, Hamburglar, Mayor of McCheese, French Fries and Grimace, whose birthday meal was released in June 2023 and won the McDonald's meal.
The company will launch on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the company announced in a press release.
It can choose from a quarter pound of cheese or 10 pieces of chicken McNuag’s chicken, fries and a new McDonald’s shake.
The milkshake taste was not revealed in the release, but the company said it was “inspired by the vibrant blue “lava” and pink clouds of McDonald’s Hill,” the company’s volcanoes in the fictional world.
Each meal will also include one of six collection cans, including postcards, stickers and one of more character-inspired cans.
In addition to launching the meal, McDonald's also launched a limited edition product in partnership with Pacsun on August 12 and released it with Oway on August 18.
This is the company's latest marketing driver to boost sales and follow the recent return of SnackWrap and Special Minecraft meals.

The announcement of McDonald's Meals comes just before the company reports its second-quarter data.
On August 6, the company announced that global comparable sales were up 3.8% at restaurants that had been in operation for a year or more.
McDonald's's same-store sales rose 2.5% in its company's first-quarter report, while same-store sales in U.S. stores reportedly fell 3.6%.
