SEATTLE – Courtney Williams scored 14 points in the second half with 20 points, Jessica Shepard scored 13 points and 13 rebounds from the free throw line in the last 30 seconds, and Kayla McBride scored 6 points from the free throw line to help Minnesota Lynx beat Seattle Storm 91-87 on Tuesday night.

Dijonai Carrington was acquired from Dallas on Sunday in exchange for Diamond Miller, Karlie Samuelson and a 2027 second-round draft pick, who made his debut for Lynx and scored 13 points.

McBride scored 14 points and Bridget Carleton scored 12 points on a 3-pointer in the second half.

Nneka Ogwumike leads the storm with 23 points. Ogwumike scored at least 20 points in WNBA history with 140 professional games, surpassing Lauren Jackson and Dewanna Bonner to seventh place.

Erica Wheeler scored 19 points, Dominique Malonga added 12 points to Seattle and Skylar Diggins 11.

Gabby Williams had nine points and three steals, breaking Seattle's single-season steal record for 77 points this season. Natasha Howard set his previous results when he led the WNBA with 74 steals in 2019.

Lynx (25-5) won seven of the eight.

Napheesa Collier (right ankle) did not play for Lynx. Collier, a 1,000-sized favorite to win the WNBA MVP on Sportsbook, left Saturday in a 111-58 victory over Las Vegas in Minnesota.

Seattle's Tiffany Mitchell fell awkwardly for a layup attempt, which was blocked by Carrington early in the fourth quarter. She left the game and did not come back.

Seattle (16-14) lost three games in a row, four of five.

Seattle traded Alysha Clark, Zia Cooke and 2026 first-round draft pick to Washington earlier Tuesday in exchange for All-Star Brittney Sykes, a four-time all-defensive team choice that averaged 15.4 points, 4.4 assists and 1.2 steals this season.

Lynx hosted the Mystic on Friday, Seattle played ACE in Las Vegas.
