Until Thursday night, Lafayette native Lauren Domingue played the middle of the road in Big Brother Season 27.

Her subtle approach may have ended. 22-year-old bride consultant Domingue won the family competition director Thursday. This saves her from expulsion and gives her the power to be in the house. She is currently considering who is nominated as the next guest to be removed.

In essence, Lauren's supervisor victory changed the House dynamics, forcing her to be the center of action and making tough decisions about whom she aims at.

Lauren has formed a league so far with Vince Panaro and Zach Cornell, who are supportive and excited about their victory.

It was also speculated that her victory might backfire and placed her target on Lauren's back.

In a pre-season interview, Domingue said: “I'm a super competitive person and I've always loved the 'big brother' as long as I remember it. I don't think Big Brother has ever seen a super sweet Southern beauty, but at the same time, she's willing to smash the game if needed and is a huge fan.”

The Big Brothers House is a notorious place where social distancing, ongoing surveillance and weekly strategy games wreaking havoc on contestants, who are fighting for the last remaining guest and bringing back a $750,000 cash prize.

This year's cast includes lawyers and professional Bull drivers, cities from across the country, including San Antonio, New York and Washington, D.C., and Lafayette.

One of the most popular reality competition shows in the United States since 2000 is “Big Brother” that has been airing on CBS. Participants must use game strategies and personal connections to avoid being elected to the House of Representatives with the intention of being the last guest to stand 14 weeks after the competition.
