They certainly don't want to cut them after a season.

But the New York Jets are gazing at the NFL’s situation next Tuesday, with the initial 53-man lineup initially being finalized.
The player in question is receiver Malachi Corley.
ESPN's Rich Cimini broke some of the Jets' layoff decisions in a post on X on Sunday morning, and here's what he said to Corley:
“I don’t think he did that.”

New York's new coaching staff is undoubtedly not a good thing for Coley. Aaron Glenn and the company were not part of the process of landing in Corley first.

The Jets ranked him No. 65 from Western Kentucky at the start of the third round of 2024.
He was supposed to be an explosive, quick, huge game that could play a role, including in the return game.
Instead, his early failure as a rookie and never really recovered.

Corley ended up appearing in nine games, second only to 16 yards in three catches, while rushing for 26 yards twice.
The Jets played the names of several young outstanding figures this summer, which helped make Coley expendable.

Given his solid bloodline, another team might give him a chance if he gets cut.
But it was ultimately a difficult missed by the Jets, which is something that a team trying to build their own isn't necessarily affordable.
