“I think it's weird” – Kyrie Irving claims that Bill Gates owns much of the land and water that originally appeared on the basketball network in the United States.
Dallas Mavericks All-Star Guard Kyrie Irving has been a very busy guy lately, hosting the Twitch Creek so far. Since his injury, Irving has used the platform to speak out about his thoughts on various topics and issues.

In recent weeks, Irving has made interesting comments about his tenure in Brooklyn, relationships with Kevin Durant and James Harden.
Recently, he revealed that Luka Doncic had dropped 24 points in practice with Grant Williams in 3 minutes.
Now, throughout 180 years, Irving claims that Microsoft founder Bill Gates owns most of the land and water in the United States.

“I still think it's weird that Bill Gates, the main gate family, owns a lot of North Dakota land. I think it's weird. He has most of the water in the United States, and I think it's weird. Anyway. Information for everyone. Owen said.
Gates is the largest private owner of farmland in the United States
It is not clear that the full background of Irving's statement is because the 30-second clip is the only one that browses the internet. But as for his claim that Gates owns a lot of land in North Dakota, it is a fact, because in 2022, North Dakota potato grower Campbell Farm sold 2,100 acres of farmland for $13.5 million, to a company called Red River Trust, with Gates.

The deal became a subject of controversy, but Gates received legal approval.
As of July 2024, Gates is considered the largest private owner of farmland in the United States, with 275,000 acres of property in more than a dozen U.S. states. These land characteristics are used to grow agricultural products such as potatoes, carrots, soybeans and corn.
Meanwhile, author Seamus Bruner provides possible explanations that Kyrie says Bill also owns most of the water in the United States

“When Gates purchased tens of thousands of acres of land, he was not only buying land—he also bought the right to groundwater. In addition to farms (and irrigation) and fertilizers, Gates was also looking for a huge benefit to water and water treatment—in searching for an important part of the agricultural industry, Bruner pointed out in 2023.

But Bill can't control American farmland
But while Gates is the country’s largest private farmland owner, his percentage of total farmland in the U.S. is only 0.03% of the total 876.5 acres as of 2024. Three years ago, Gates also explained why he had accumulated him in farmland recently.

“I own less than 1/4000 of the farmland in the United States and I invest in these farms to make them more productive and create more work. There are no grand plans – in fact, all of these decisions are made by a professional investment team.” He said.
To be clear, Owen said he mentioned only his statement for informational purposes. But if he tries to hint anything by saying it's weird, then all door transactions are legal unless you want to bring up a conspiracy theory.
But Kyrie kept it, so let us too.
