Bay Lake, Florida. – Later this month, Disney Landlubbers can gather their crew and take a adventure at Magic Kingdom's first official bar.
Beak and barrel are the new pirates in the Caribbean-themed tavern, providing not only drinks for guests. It’s an immersive social experience for family and friends.
Disney Imagined people and culinary experts have collaborated to create a space for storytelling and interaction.

“Instead of just passively traversing the attractions, it’s a space for living between movies, between attractions where guests can spend their time so they can talk to each other,” said Chris Weck, senior creative company at Walt Disney Imagineering. “It’s more of a social moment where families can enjoy rather than just the typical attraction.”

With the menu at Adventureland Hideaway full of delicious options, including refreshing cocktails for guests aged 21 and older, pirates of all ages can have a quick bite and crave thirst.

Among the many stories of the bar, the origin story of this legendary diving shows that it was established by Captain Meridian “Merrir” Goldwyn and professionally managed by Rummy. Lifelike sounds – Animal Birds and the latest generation of Disney “Barker Birds” hosted the bar to make sure everyone had a great time.

Ken Ricci said: “Our latest generation of audio – Animal Birds are all the way back to Walt Disney himself, especially his love for audio, science and birds. This is our most advanced audio – Animal Birds, which are more vivid than anything I have seen in the past.”
After Kat's voyage with Captain Merry, Kat retires to the beak and barrel, greets guests, and occasionally interacts with Rummy the Parrot. (The culinary team created a food and drink menu that perfectly complements the pirate theme.)
Guests can expect every seven to eight minutes of immersive moments to have a unique experience in different areas of the bar. Includes mess, cursed bar, captain's dormitory, captain's stall and map makers' rooms
The beak and barrel provide a 45-minute experience designed to encourage guests to stay and enjoy the atmosphere.

“The moments we showcase disappear and cover the entire bar,” Weck said. “Those don’t happen in that 45-minute window, so every time the guests come back, they might get some different experiences.”
Ocean-inspired menu
The culinary team created a food and drink menu that perfectly complemented the pirate theme.

One outstanding dish is Kraken's catch, a lemon lime-cured octopus salad with avocado, olives, capers and Piquillo Pepper Almond Foam, decorated with dramatic Kraken tentacles.
“We have other options that are more family-friendly, but we want something fun and bold,” said Walt Disney World chef De Cuisine. “So, what's more bold than the octopus tentacles that crawl out from under the salad?”
Signature drinks such as sirens’ whispers, predatory fists and the Aral Sea, Marrgarita offers unique twists and turns to classic cocktails.
Booking is open and can be made online. The beak and barrel will also be open during Mickey’s not-so-marvelous Halloween party.
