Fox host Rachel Campos-Duffy: “Are we an immigrant country? Or are we a settler country? …We are the latter.”

Rachel Campos-Duffy (host of Fox Noticias): What you see is the remaining ones Donald Trump is considerate with these self-deceiving families or being deported by his family. But the reality is the vast majority, I mean we are talking about over 90% of children who are sexually trafficked or engaged in child labour are Hispanic. Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, our ice officers and our Border Patrol are the greatest defenders of exploited Hispanic children. They did not get the credit they deserved. I believe Hispanics – good, normal Hispanics get this. The President of Mexico and Claudia Sheinbaum of many Latin American countries do want to thank Donald Trump.

Campos-Duffy: The real question is about – their obsession with it is actually about who we are as Americans. And you often hear that we are an immigrant country.

I think the question is, are we an immigrant country? Or are we settler countries? I will argue with you, we are the latter. We are a country forged and created by settlers. Come and form a new identity settler. They created a new culture. Their customs are very unique to our identity.

Then we allow immigrants to come in and assimilate, which hasn't happened yet. Why? Why didn't it happen? Why is my mom the whole process, and the beautiful process of becoming an American citizen, and why does it collapse?

The reason is because fundamentally, the left hates the United States. They hate our founding stories, our founding fathers, and everything about our founding documents. They hate it. Illegal immigration represents them as an opportunity for them to reshape the United States in a different image. Some kind of Marxism, the perfect utopia they want. Illegal immigrants were then weaponized for this purpose. For them, America has nothing to do with the way you and me – I am Hispanic, you are white from Texas – I think you and I have a lot in common. For the left – that's because we are Americans, we see ourselves as Americans. But for the left, it is just a paperwork issue. Fix paperwork, make them legal, and give them something free. They have no interest in absorbing them, they are more disdainful of Americans who want to keep our culture and keep our identity and ensure our borders than they do with those who are not loyal to our country because they have just broken the law and come here for economic reasons.
