First alarm weather day for Arizona launch heat wave release

  • by admin

Phoenix (Azfamily) – High pressure ridges may not bring moisture into Arizona as it moves eastward from New Mexico and will cross over a few days in Arizona.

This will bring temperatures close to the state’s record and greatly reduce the chance of thunderstorms, even on the hills.

We had our first alert weather on Friday and Saturday, Saturday was the hottest day of the two days, another set of high heat for the next Wednesday and Thursday. By Thursday, we may see a height of 117 degrees in Phoenix.

With a few exceptions, moisture entering the state is not allowed due to the high position, both of which prevent moisture from entering Arizona from the south and capturing the rest of the moisture, and sending it westward to Southern California.

We ended with an average high of 107, which is much cooler than the average height of 112 degrees in July 2024. Although it was second in Phoenix last July, we just ranked ninth in July.
