New Orleans (WVUE) – Tangipahoa parish officials have ordered a mandatory evacuation in one mile radius 51 and 10 in Roseland. An explosion at a nearby company prompted the evacuation.

The parish government urges residents to relocate immediately and avoid the area until further notice.

Officials said Highway 51 on Highway 10 was closed and emergency personnel responded to the scene. No harm has been reported.

Authorities require drivers to use alternative routes.
