Here are the market trends before the opening ceremony:
opendoor(Open) On Monday morning, the stock was 16% ahead of the second quarter results. As my colleague Jake Conley detailed, the stock is revived in the interests of investors, powered by EMJ Capital’s Bull Case and speculative bets posted on Reddit forums.
palantir(pltr) Stocks rose 2%. On Friday, the company announced a contract with the U.S. Army that would combine more than 75 agreements in a package deal worth $10 billion over the next decade. The software and AI data company will report earnings after Monday’s bell.
Tesla (TSLA) Stocks rose more than 2% after the company approved a new salary package worth $2.9 billion amid fierce court battles in Delaware. The Special Committee said in its filing that the compensation package was designed to increase Musk's voting rights, which shareholders said was the key to making him focus on the company and its mission.
Qiaomi (Qiao Mi) Stock rose 5% after electric taxi developers said they would acquire Blade Air Mobility's helicopter ride business for $125 million. The deal will bring Joby to a network of aviation terminals in major areas such as New York City. Blade Air (Blde) stock rose nearly 30% in the news.
Tyson Foods (TSN) The company reported a 4% increase in stock after exceeding expectations for third-quarter results. The company raised its annual revenue forecast and said it expects elastic demand for chicken to offset the weakness of the beef segment due to the profit weight of high beef prices.
