LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers have generally helped the bullpen only increase Monday night as the team's precious free agents get closer to joining Tanner Scott after he releases the slider into the dirt and exits with Head Athletic trainer Thomas Albert.
Scott, 30, returned to the ninth inning after winning the eighth round after winning the eighth round with a 5-2 win. He went on to walk a batsman, hitting two strikes with two strikes before Jeffers worked. It is not clear what the injury is.
The lefty was the first year of the most expensive free agent relief last offseason, a four-year, $72 million deal that has struggled a lot in his first season in Los Angeles, with 77 appearances in 26 games in his first 47 games. Kirby Yates, another free agent struggling this winter, entered Scott and recorded the last two games, while Carlos Correa drove a home run that could have been the field before James Outman camped in the midfield.
Given Scott and Yates’ performance this season and Evan Phillips’ injury (out this season), Michael Kopech (at least at least late August), Brusdar Graterol sports Report this week. This is only expected to intensify as Scott leaves Monday night.
