Chris Columbus and more about HBO Harry Potter Remake.
The director led the first two Warner Bros. movies that launched a hit movie series that recently made headlines saying he didn't want to be related to HBO's multi-quarter remake of JK Rowling's novel.
But in a new podcast, Columbus made a sharper remark about the project, reacting to the photos, making Hagrid’s (Nick Frost) tour center around young Harry (Dominic McLaughlin) near London.
“I’m watching online, and there are pictures of Nick Frost, like the new Harry Potter.” The rest is entertainment podcast. “He is wearing Accurate The same outfits we designed for Hagrid. Columbus continued: “It's very flattering to me because I like it: it's exactly what we designed for Hegrid costumes. So it's really exciting. I'm so happy to see what they're going to do. Part of it is déjàvu, and again.”
Columbus added that he was not “jealous” about the remake. “I'm too far away,” he said. “I did. I've done it, and it's time to move on. I've always had the idea of franchise. Columbus also discusses how he made a film with Peeves The Poltergeist (Rik Mayall) to shoot the first film of 2001 Harry Potter and the Stonescut out from the distribution. “We filmed the scene with Peeves, but it was a CGI character that we could never understand correctly. We could never design the character as anyone we like, so they were removed from the movie. That's what I'm most excited about in the HBO series and I want to see how they do it. But Rik Mayall did a great job.”
Director also recently settled the controversy over JK Rowling's trans perspective type: “I like to distinguish artists from art sometimes, and I think it's important. Unfortunately, what's going on. I certainly disagree with what she's talking about. But, it's sad, it's sad.”
HBO's Harry Potter It will be launched in 2027 and promises to reimagine Rowling’s seven novels as a separate TV season. The producers have previously pointed out that the new version will be able to include more material from Rowling's novels than the ones explored in the film.
