Aztec Batman: The Empire Conflict Exclusive Trailer – SDCC 2025

Aztec Batman: The Clash of Empires, a bold and primitive reimagining the Batman myth through the lens of Central American culture, will be available in the U.S. on September 19 and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD in the U.S. on September 23.

From Warner Bros. Animation, Ánima and Chatrone, and according to DC’s characters, the brand new animated film places the iconic DC superheroes against the backdrop of Mexico’s fascinating history and immerse them in the exciting culture of Central America for fans around the world.

The Spanish audio version of the film features Mexican talent, including Horacio García Rojas, Omar Chaparro and Alvaro Morte. Voice actors in English are Jay Hernandez (Magnum Pi, Suicide Squad) and Raymond Cruz (the son of anarchy, Maya, better call Saul).

The film is directed by Ernie Altbacker's script Juan Meza-Léon and is based on Batman by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. José C. García DeLetona, Fernando de Fuentes S., Carina Schulze, Aaron D. Berger, Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau are producers. Sam Register, Tomás Yankelevich and Michael Uslan serve as executive producers.

Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires It will be available on September 19 on Amazon Prime Video, Appletv, Google Play, Fandango at home and more. On September 23, the movie will be available in-store on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD Online, as well as major retailers.

The film will be available in Spanish and English.

This bold reimagining of the Batman legend unfolds in the vibrant and ferocious culture of 16th-century Central America. During the Aztec Empire, tragedy attacked Yohualli Coatl, a young Aztec boy, when his father was murdered by Spanish conquerors. To warn King Moctezuma and his high priest Yoka in imminent danger, Yohualli fled to Tenochtitlán. There, he trained with his mentor in the temple of the Bat God, developing equipment and weapons to face the Spanish invasion and avenge his father's death. Along the way, he meets key figures like the fierce Jaguar woman and the charming forest ivy.
