NEW YORK – Carlos Correa beat struggling backup Devin Williams in the 10th inning, and the Houston Astros defeated the New York Yankees 5-3 on Friday night.

Taylor Trammell added two home runs to Williams, making it 5-2.

New York lost for the sixth time in seven games, falling to 3-8 in the additional innings.

Ben Rice hit an RBI double and the judge issued a kidnapping single to eliminate Brown.

Schlietler allowed two runs and seven hits in five innings. He eliminated three, walked one, and threw a career-high 97 goals.

Hader allowed Anthony Volpe's RBI click in 10th place, then retired, then retired pinch batsman Paul Goldschmidt to hit the ball at 10 strokes. The left-handed walked the nailed Giancarlo Stanton and took Trent Grisham to the line and drove to the center, ending twice.
