Mikel Arteta is worried that Bukayo Saka's hamstring injury is “significant” as the winger rises in the second half of Arsenal's 5-0 victory over Leeds.

England International scored Arsenal's second goal in their home opener, but had no contact before the hour mark and was immediately replaced by Leandro Trossard.

It was a bittersweet day for Arteta and Arsenal as the club announced the signing of Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, and then Viktor Gyökeres marked his first two Premier League goals.

But Captain Martin Ødegaard also had to leave the field in the first half after a shoulder injury, and then Saka joined the growing injury roster after 54 minutes.

Saka missed nearly four months last season with his other hamstring injuries, which will be desperate to avoid this semester again.

But the Arsenal manager confirmed he was worried that it would be a major damage to his star winger.

“Bukayo was running on his ball, holding the ball, fighting the defender, and feeling something was in the hamstrings,” Arteta said.

“So let's see. I think this is another [hamstring] – Different from previous damage.

“For Bukayo, it will certainly stand out and look like something important.”

ØDegaard seemed to feel something on his shoulder earlier in the first half but tried to keep playing. Eventually, he was unable to play and was replaced by Ethan Nwaneri after 38 minutes.

Arteta confirmed that Norway International needs to scan his shoulders now.

He added: “Martin felt his shoulders when he landed.”

“We don’t know [how bad it is] – Tomorrow we have to scan him and understand better. ”

Just a few days after Saka and Ødegaard's injuries, Kai Havertz lasted for an unknown period after his knee injury.

At the best of times, injury to key players is a problem, but especially in the important car races in Arsenal’s Premier League, which puts them in the next four league games against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Manchester City.

This summer, Arsenal seemed to be able to handle the main players better after signing Eze and Noni Madueke, the Arteta who tries to eventually go beyond the game and win the league.

“Those ones [injuries] It was a negative factor of the day. ” he said.

“But we’ve been two weeks [into the season] We have lost Kai, Martin and Bukayo. So it tells you how great you have to have in this league to manage and maintain the level we want. ”

Arsenal heads to Anfield to face Liverpool in the final ahead of its first international breakthrough on August 31. They will also find Champions League games on Thursday.
