Agent says Pirates give up rookie safety Shilo Sanders, Agent says

His agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Tampa Bay Buccaneers told rookie safety Shilo Sanders Sunday.

Agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey told Schefter that they hope Sanders will get a claim on the waiver.

The NFL team is currently revising its roster to 53 players by Tuesday's deadline.

The news comes after Sanders ousted in his third preseason game against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday night.

Sanders interrupted his Zach Davidson after some hard push and push in the second quarter. Bucs defender John Bullock then tried to calm the Sanders, Tampa Bay coach Todd Bowles returned to the sideline and looked at Sanders.

Bowles talked about the incident after a 23-19 defeat in Tampa Bay.

“You can't shoot in this league – it's unforgivable,” said Bowles. “They bring you every time. You have to grow out of it.”

Sanders was also marked as a pass in the first quarter of the game.

He has been competing with Kaevon Merriweather and Rashad Wisdom for the fourth and last safe locations to support Antoine Winfield Jr., Tykee Smith and Christian Izien.

Sanders' father was Deion Sanders, the Professional Football Hall of Fame, signed with the Pirates after he was not drafted.
