Adel, Georgia (WALB) – Multi-institutional action led to a Georgia funeral home operator arrested on many felony child gender charges.
The Adel Police Department (APD) says Stanley Henderson's charges include two counts of felon computer pornography, two counts of felony exclusive a child for independent purposes, one count of felony child molestation, two counts of felony aggravated sexual battery, one count of felony trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude, and one misdemeanor count of engaging in a funeral business without required compliance.
Adel police said additional charges are being tried in the case.
The investigation began in June, after Adel police received a prompt from Henderson to operate a funeral home without proper certificates, including the lack of a valid city business license. As part of the investigation, Adel police said they executed a search warrant and confiscated multiple electronic devices.
Police said the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office conducted forensic analysis of the devices and found some pornographic images of minors.
Police arrested Henderson in Lawrenceville on Sunday, July 13 with the help of the flock camera database, without any accidents.
Henderson was held in the Cook County Jail for refusing bonds, APD said.
