“The View”, created by Barbara Walters, aired its first season in 1997. The show always features women’s multigenerational women’s groups, who analyze and debate issues related to politics, culture and entertainment. The series has long been controversial, dating back to Rosie O'Donnell's tenure as host, which drew the anger of Donald Trump. In July, a Trump spokesman blew up “this view” after Behar claimed on the plan that Trump was “jealous” about former President Barack Obama, calling Behar a “unrelated loser” and said the show was “the next step to evacuate from the air.”
