Dodge Post's rumor: Players in danger because the injury returns appear on the clutch point for the first time.
Although the Los Angeles Dodgers (74-57) did not have an interesting National League West Road trip – separated the Colorado Rockies (37-94) for a four-game series (37-94) and lost to San Diego Padres, they returned to Chavez Ravine and ranked No. 1 in the department. Even better, the 2024 World Series champion will soon have more firepower and defensive versatility in their position players group along with Kike Hernandez, Hyeseong Kim, Max Munchy and Tommy Edman.

Hernandez and Kim are playing a rehab game in Triple-A Oklahoma City, so their rewards seem to be coming soon. But that means management must make room for them. One outfielder seems particularly vulnerable.
“The waiting reward for injured players will endanger Michael Conforto's roster, who signed a one-year, $17 million contract last offseason,” Major League Baseball insider Ken Rosenthal wrote for the sport. Manager Dave Roberts has been patient with the 2017 All-Star Game, but defending him to put his roster increasingly difficult.
Dodgers continue to trust Michael Conforto
Conforto had nine home runs and 28 RBIs in 114 games and hit .183 with a .314 hit and .606 OPS. He has not recorded a hit in the last seven games, extending the chat's endless level to a booming level. Given his much lower batting average, it's stable, which is a tough hit percentage of 42.9 and a benchmark percentage of .293, which doesn't make up for the obvious offensive deficit.

That's a pity. The 32-year-old is dealing with a large-scale struggle with grace and publicly thanks Roberts for maintaining his faith, but he must know that there are serious risks in his employment status. Apart from a strong start, including four doubles in five games and a productive double in July (cut .273/.342/.485), Conforto is still responsible. His -0.9 War tells a cruel story.
Ideally, the left-handed batsman will enjoy a revival against the Cincinnati Reds this week, but it's hard to imagine the Dodgers handing him to his playoff roster. Given that the Padres are following them in the NL West, they might even think they can cut off the connection now.
Michael Conforto is in the next or SWIM mode. Even if the ending has been written, the veteran needs to show it to the other 29 teams that he still belongs to the show.
