The team has cut players across the camp, especially in the past few days due to expected deadlines. We'll track the most famous cuts here, and this is a comprehensive list of each cut.
Famous NFL lineup cutting candidate
Brown QB Shedeur Sanders
Brown has long said they will keep four QBs on the roster, but Sanders is a fifth-round pick after all, and a day 3 pick is not guaranteed. Additionally, rookie Dillon Gabriel surpassed Sanders this preseason and received a rep before the Sanders practice. There is also the experienced Kenny Pickett, who did not steal pre-season due to injury, but it almost certainly would make the team a team as well. Sanders may do this, but the chances of cutting are not zero.

Patriot WRS Javon Baker, Kendrick Bourne or Ja'lynn Polk
New England knew it needed to address its wide receiver room, so it added Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins to the free agent market and drafted Kyle Williams in the third round. This means some receivers may be squeezed out during layoffs. Baker was disappointed as a rookie in the fourth round last season, and Polk could also be eliminated a year after shoulder surgery. Meanwhile, Kendrick Bourne is a solid veteran presence whose lack of production may be the decisive factor.
Browns WR Diontae Johnson
When Cleveland is at risk of signing wide receiver Isaiah Bond, this could be Johnson’s writing on the wall, who has now joined his fifth team since 2023.

Giant QB Tommy Devito
It'll certainly be like the Giants bringing Russell Wilson, Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston to their quarterbacks, which might spell the end of folk hero Devito, who has eight careers but hasn't shown a high ceiling.
Falcon CB CJ Henderson
The ninth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft failed to keep in touch with any of his previous four teams and was signed only on August 14, possibly just one camp in Atlanta.
