The son of “The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus was arrested and charged after being attacked in a New York City apartment on Saturday.

Mingus Reedus, 25, pleaded not guilty to five charges Saturday, according to court records. The model faces charges of third-degree assault, reckless injury, respiratory crime disorder, secondary harassment and serious harassment.

New York police said the attack was being made in the Chelsea community in Manhattan at 8:40 a.m. Saturday. A 33-year-old woman was observed with a “slight injury” on her neck and legs.

Police said she was taken to Bellevue Hospital and Mingus Reedus was detained.

Mingus Reedus' attorney Priya Chaudhry insisted in a statement on Sunday that the innocence of her clients will become clear as the case emerges.

“Although the prosecutors were not saying evidence in court, they chose to charge mingus with misdemeanor or less,” Choudhury said. “This shows a lot and is bigger than the on-field comments that the prosecutors don't support.”

She also noted that the judge released Mingus Reedus with his approval, “neither bail nor supervision.”
