Leak claims that the PS6 can make it three times the performance of the PS5 at the same price

  • by admin

We've been out of the original PlayStation 5 release for nearly five years, and Sony's next-generation gaming consoles are starting to surface. In Moore's Law's YouTube video, the leaker shares extensive information about the possible specifications, starting prices and release timings for PlayStation 6. It is always important to have these early leaks disappear with lots of salt and Moore's law, even adding a disclaimer to the video that the information was introduced from AMD leaked in 2023 to Sony's leak, adding that some of these specs may have changed now.

While Sony hasn't confirmed anything yet, the leak suggests the company may prioritize lower power output and align with previous generations of the upcoming PS6. The video claims that the next-generation console will have three times the rasterized or 3D rendering compared to the base PS5, about twice the PS5 Pro offers. YouTuber explained that PS6 is rumored to be backward compatible with PS4 and PS5, while potentially launching for $499. This price point may indicate the success Sony wants to take advantage of the PS4, thanks in part to the lower price compared to the competition at the time.

Sony is reportedly making handheld handsets that can complement the console, along with the PS6. According to the leaked information, the PS6 handheld board will get a microSD slot, an M.2 SSD slot, touch screen, haptic vibration and dual mics. The details of the PS6 handheld rumor should beat the Rog Xbox Ally X and a USB-C port that can provide video capabilities. According to the leak, the price range for the PS6 handheld could be between $400 and $500. For PS6 and PS6 handheld, leakers claim that Sony will start manufacturing in mid-2027 and use a potential release date window between fall 2027 and early 2028.
