Kelee Ringo of the Hawks
Hawks cornerbacks about him having to do better with top receivers like Ja'marr Chase on the Bengals
- Hawks quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson and Kyle McCord are competing for the third-string quarterback.
- Dorian Thompson-Robinson, known for his running abilities, was injured to Jalen while providing his own insights.
- AJ Brown returns to Eagles practice after a hamstring injury.
Philadelphia – Pro Bowl left-back Landon Dickerson was injured during an Aug. 10 practice with the Hawks in Lincoln Finance.
Dixon stayed on the ground for a few minutes while kneeling near him. Then he got help and walked to the sideline with a stern li.
Then, Dixon was taken to the locker room as he held his right knee. There is no direct news about his injury.

But if Dickson misses a lot of time, it will cause serious losses to the Hawks. Dickerson has been selected for the Pro Bowl over the past three seasons. He also suffered knee and ankle injuries during his college and NFL careers.
Dickerson's injury left the sold-out crowd in trouble and it was still lively until then. Brett Toth has been on the bench at Dickerson, while 2022 Texans first-round pick Kenyon Green has been in the third unit.
Thompson Robinson has a chance
There was no escape from Hawks quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson at this moment.
Thompson-Robinson, a talented runner who is much like an injury, was asked how he and the injured quarterback helped each other.
For Thompson-Robinson, the course is invaluable. He entered his third NFL season after spending the first two with the Cleveland Browns. Thompson-Robinson obviously has no ability to get injured, as his 1 professional touchdown pass and 10 interceptions show.
As for Thompson-Robinson, he is fighting rookie sixth-round draft pick Kyle McCord for a third quarterback job or a right to become a game-day emergency QB.
This battle is mainly played in preseason, and the deep reserves will be represented by them. There are not many things in the practice of training camp. These include public business of the Eagles in Lincoln's financial field, held in front of 60,000 fans on August 10.
“It helps,” Thompson-Robinson said of the running side. “We talk about it a lot. It's just (hurt) what you see from the haste. He even asked Tanner some questions because it almost doesn't work — it's almost impossible to run.
“And a little bit like this point of view. It's fun. But Jaylen and I must have worked hard with each other. He's learning from me, just like I'm learning from him, and that's surprised his success.”
This sets the Hawks quarterback room apart. McKee is 6-foot-6, not a fleet, the opposite of injury, and he is as dangerous as he passes by.
Thompson-Robinson is also known as the quarterback, and as Hawks coach Nick Sirianni said, he can “expand” with his running ability. Meanwhile, McCourd does not have these characteristics.
So, how will the Hawks decide which QB to keep between Thompson-Robinson and McCord? Well, the preseason will decide that.
Both quarterbacks won two series in the second half in the match against the Cincinnati Bengals on August 7. Thompson-Robinson has had more success than McCord. Thompson-Robinson had 56 yards in a 5-8 game, while McCord had 1 yard with a 5-1 score.
In practice, they have alternately appeared the third and fourth representatives, but there are not many opportunities. Those hurt and McGee.
“During training camp, the third quarterback didn't get … as much as Tanner and Jalen,” Sirianni said. “So we had to find creative ways to get their representation, not in practice.”
Sirianni will not elaborate on these “creative ways”.
It will be August 13-14, when the Hawks faced Thompson-Robinson's former team Browns. Those reps are reserved for the first two units, Thompson Robinson and McCord may have a chance in the preseason between the two teams on August 16.
Thompson-Robinson is happy to meet his former team. The Hawks acquired Thompson-Robinson in March when they traded alternate quarterback Kenny Pickett to Cleveland in exchange for Thompson-Robinson and a fifth-round draft pick.
“It's fun, obviously you'll see a bunch of familiar faces,” Thompson-Robinson said. “I know the program very well and I've been running there for a few years. I think it's going to be fun. It's going to be a great week.”
So the battle continued.
“One day, Kyle first participated in DTR with (the third unit),” Sirianni said. “They both did a great job… (Thompson-Robinson) did a great job. You can say he played football before. He did a great job in football and he did a great job in stretching.
“So (Thompson-Robinson and McCorder) have unique abilities that you love working with the quarterback.”
AJ Brown returns to Hawks practice after injury
Hawks star receiver Brown returned to practice about a week after a hamstring injury.
However, Brown did not participate in the team drill. But that's a good sign that Browns will be able to practice against the Browns this week.
Defender Zack Baun returns to practice Saturday. Like Brown, he was limited and did not participate in team drills.

Eagle practice observation
- The defense seemed to have won a day offensively against the First Team. Rookie Jihaad Campbell, like Jordan Davis and Nolan Smith, were hurt by a “sack”.
- With the offensive backup, Nolan Smith grabbed the deflection pass and returned it for a touchdown. Moro Ojomo later defeated an injured pass on the melee line.
- Quinyon Mitchell once again excels with a strict reporting on Devonta Smith. He fell a deep pass for Smith and then broke up on Smith's quick tilt.
- The best offensive game takes Smith's connection from 30 to the finish area. Smith bumped into Smith before safety Sydney Brown arrived, followed by Cooper Dejean.
- Tanner McKee's best game was to lead to Terrace Marshall in a touchdown pass in the red zone.
