Buffalo Bills doesn't need to run back Ray Davis to score in the preseason. They have a new Davis for this.

Buffalo signed free agent Caden Davis, who was not signed in 2025, on Friday, and was abandoned by the New York Jets last week.

He is expected to perform his kicking role, while starting Tyler Bass continues to recover from a pelvic injury, which has led him to practice eight times in a row. Head coach Sean McDermott said Thursday that the team had kicked twice on Thursday.

The bass kicked before the August 1 blue and red practice, but did not participate in any drills at the Highmark Stadium. In his absence, Ray Davis scored 3-3 in that match.

Caden Davis, 6 feet and 200 pounds, divided his college career into Ole Miss (2003-2024) and Texas A&M (1999-2022). He has a muscle frame and thighs. Davis, a semi-finalist at the 2024 Lou Groza Awards, won the Rebels’ single-season scoring record among the nation’s highest kickers, ranks tenth with 129 points and 10th in the FBS. Davis scored 24 innings (82.8%) in the shooting score (82.8%), while 57-59 scored a 57-59 advantage in 57 wins and 82 counterattacks (82.4%) on 966 titers (85.4%) (85.4%)

In his two years at Ole Miss, he scored 42 points (80.8%) in 52 shots and 102 points from 104. He also held school record with four shots above 40 yards and was named second in the College Football Network in 2024.

Davis received a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Texas A&M and an MBA from Ole Miss.
