Timothy Olyphant accidentally revealed that he's set to star in Quentin Tarantino's “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” sequel “The Adventures of Cliff Booth” directed by David Fincher.
Olyphant's slippage appeared on Conan O'Brien's podcast “Conan O'Brien Needs Friends” on Friday. At the time, O'Brien mentioned that he heard whispers about the 2019 movie Chapter 2.
“Some people say maybe there are other projects that come out…”
“Yes! A sequel written by Tarantino [director David] Fincher's guidance on Brad Pitt's killer.
At that time, Olyphant silently said to Guli, “I'm in it.”
“Are they filming?” Olyphant questioned, realizing that he was in front of the camera while sharing the so-called revelation.
He quickly said that he wasn't sure if he would be really present.
“I don’t know,” Olyphant said trying to change the subject.
“Do you want us to cut it?” Gourley asked, proposing to edit this moment from the podcast episode before it was published.
“I don't know…they will…let's see,” Olyphant replied, trying to find the right words.
“I wish I had liked it,” Olyphant added. “You will never know. It's just the essence of it.”
O'Brien joked that Olyphant rejected his message with his secret.
“This may be a big deal you might tell your friends, right?” O'Brien asked.
“I haven't seen you yet!” Olifin shouted.
“Have you seen me yet?” O'Brien laughed. “Yes, you've seen me. You saw me like a month ago… Are you telling your friend? Are you telling your friend?”
By the end of the conversation, O'Brien shared that O'Brien would tell him about his cast given the late night host's first “time in Hollywood.”
“Anyway, I think you'll tell me. You know I'm a big fan of mine.
The first movie,” O'Brien said. “Uh, do you think you might mention it to me? ”
Olyphant said he had learned about the opportunity, adding that he was still unsure of the role.
“I’m still not sure,” Olyphant said.
So far, there aren't many details about Tarantino's sequel, except for the title “Adventure at the Cliff Stall,” which will focus on the character's cliff stall, with Brad Pitt reprimanding his role in the report.
