Ukrainian drone's best Russian radar dome in Crimea, video – United 24 Media

The agency's news agency confirmed that Ukraine's military intelligence agency had released footage of a strike on a Russian radar device hidden inside the protective dome on the AI-Petri on the occupied Crimea Mountain and destroyed the destruction of the Russian BK-16 landing spacecraft.

The operation was conducted by elite “Prymary” troops of Ukrainian Defense Intelligence (HUR), which uses sea drone carriers to transport explosive drones to the southern coastline of the Crimean Peninsula. Their main goal is: the third radio technology regiment of the Russian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian drones escaped surface upward missiles and Russian fighters, successfully attacking and destroying the Russian Project 02510 “BK-16” take-off and landing ship, as well as three advanced radar systems:

In a major blow to Russia’s air defense infrastructure, Ukrainian agents also destroyed radar stations hidden inside the radio’s transparent dome – a structure originally built in the Soviet era to protect sensitive equipment from the weather.

“These dome structures are designed to protect sensitive radar arrays from atmospheric exposure,” Ukrainian military intelligence noted. “But after suffering significant losses, the occupants began to use them to mask high-value radar assets.”

According to HUR, there is one on the slope of the AI-Petri Mountain where the Russians have established an air defense base for the third radio technology regiment (Military Force 85683-A).

Since Russia's occupation of Crimea in 2014, Russian troops have been modernizing and expanding Soviet-era infrastructure, including the construction of new radar domes throughout the peninsula.

These domes now cover a variety of modern systems such as Nebo-M, Kasta-2E2 and Podlets, providing radar coverage for air defense networks in the southern Russian military zone.

Strategic locations with these new facilities include Cape Tarkhankut, the tefe-oba area near Feodosia and the Kerch suburbs, all of which now form part of an interconnected radar network supporting Crimea's Russian air defense operations.
