Outside is the pop festival that takes place annually in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, which starts this weekend with creators, Hozier and Doja Cat's headlines Tyler.

The festival has been in its 17 years and began on Friday, attracting thousands from the Bay Area.

If you're going to a festival, here are some knowledge before the celebration begins.

Two artists canceled their performances outside

Artists planning to perform on Friday have withdrawn from the festival due to “acute infection.”

German DJ and producer DJ Koze said he is canceling his performances in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Denver.

“DJ Koze was unfortunately forced to cancel the upcoming show this week due to an acute infection and continued physical fatigue and fever,” his website said.

The performer said the decision was not made easily.

Bonobo will take the DJ Koze's position and air on Friday at 4:40 pm.

Another band, Wunderhorse, will no longer perform this weekend, said this week on X that their lead singer is recovering from dental surgery.

“It's very frustrating, but I want to thank you for your support message, which means a lot. I'll be back to play as soon as possible.”

Slater said it would take him seven more days to heal.

Army, Navy plans to last at 2:20 pm on Saturday

Foreign timetable and daily lineup

Music starts from noon on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with performances until 10 pm, and the festival gates are open at 11 a.m. every day.

Are land tickets available outside still available?

As of Wednesday, single-day and three-day universal passes are still available. Normal tickets will cost you $235 to $539. If you are looking for upgrade tickets like GA+ or VIP, the price will rise.

Out-of-field bag policy

Organizers said they prefer attendees to have no luggage, although bags and backpacks are allowed during the holidays. Festive visitors can also bring a small Fanny bag and an empty moisturizing bag.

There is food outside

The festival partnered with restaurants and food trucks near the Bay Area, including Bodega SF, batch bakery, Brenda’s French Soul Food, Da Poke Man, Fob Kitchen and Johnny Donuts. For a complete list of food options, click here.

Field shuttle and how to get there

Organizers say there will be “extremely limited” parking lots in Kinmen Park and the surrounding area, so public transport and ride alternatives are recommended.

Out-of-town land offers two space shuttle services, one from the Bill Graham Municipal Auditorium in downtown San Francisco and the other from the Cow Palace in Daly.

The shuttle starts from 11 a.m. every day until one hour after the music is over. The last shuttle bus of the festival (from both locations) will leave at 8 p.m. every day.

The shuttle gets off at the south entrance of the festival.

Shuttle passes range from $33 to $96 depending on which type of shuttle you are planning to take and whether you are looking for a single-day or three-day pass.

Bart will run a normal schedule this weekend. Passengers can take Bart to downtown San Francisco and hop on Muni to Golden Gate Park.
