Former Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and international star Achraf Hakimi were charged with sexual assault by prosecutors in the French town of Nanterre in the suburbs of Paris. Paris Saint-Germain right-back denied any misconduct.

After the case was made public, Hakimi's then-wife Hiba Abouk announced her separation. The actress and mother of his two children soon filed for divorce, citing the case as the main reason for their separation.
