Joanna Gaines embraces the changing season of the island

  • by admin

It might be baked outside, but Joanna Gaines is here to land in the Magnolia silo!

The thermometer in Waco, Texas is expected to climb to triple-digits at least four days around the next week, but Joanna Gaines didn't avoid it.

In a video posted to her Instagram account, Joanna made her new fall decor on the island. “I've always loved our seasonal installation at @magnolia! This weekend, we're bringing fall to the Magnolia Market. Check out the products we designed and curated online on Magnolia.com and at the Silos store in Waco, Texas.”

In the video, Joanna told the camera that the theme of this season was “Hugging the most important thing,” saying “I hugged my kids before they went to college.”

In fact, Joanna later revealed in a video standing in front of the honey display: “I harvested all the honey on the farm with the kids this week. I can't wait.”

Chip & Joanna Gaines relaxing family vacation before school starts

While it might be on the fall of the island, Chip and Joanna Gaines try to squeeze out the last summer in person before the two oldest children fly over the nest.

Joanna posted a series of beautiful family beach vacation photos on her Instagram account. The location reads Sayulita of the Mexican Riviera Nayarit. An article shows the couple's two daughters, Ella Rose, 18, and Emmie Kay, 15, staring at the ocean.

Both Ella Rose and brother Drake will be in college soon.

Drake (20) will be at Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, about an hour from Waco Farm in Gaines.

But while Gaines hasn't said where Ella plans to go to college, Joanna makes it clear that she doesn't plan to stay nearby.

Joanna Gaines said in an interview with the people that Ella was determined to carve her own path. “She's excited to go somewhere famous,” Joanna revealed. “She's like, 'I don't want anyone to know you…I just want to be myself.'”

Joanna admits it’s hard to see her daughter leave, saying, “I feel like I’ve lost a friend in my daily life.” But she also said, “I’m excited for her to learn. She’s going to see something. What she’s going to teach us.”

Joanna Gaines focuses on physical and mental strength

Joanna Gaines said she was preparing for that big goodbye when two of her five children quickly left home for college.

Joanna told people, referring to her husband Chip, who said: “What is going to happen this summer will be a wave of emotions, I won't support it; I'm going to stand there and carry it with me.”

But she is still trying to become stronger mentally and physically to face all her changes.

In a new episode of the “Stronger Podcast” with Gaines coach Don Saladino, Joanna talks about how her physical exercises make her understand psychological strength. Joanna said Don taught her how to train her brain and body.

“I feel like now it starts to match when I left, my mind feels strong, I feel 'Oh Joe, you're killing it', and my body is strong, but it starts with that positive attitude and just starts to say everything about yourself so much that you are proud of yourself.”
