Happy Max Munchy starts a recovery day for all the celebrations!
Munchy will join Oklahoma City Triple A Oklahoma City on Tuesday to begin the rehabilitation mission. If all goes well, he may be back with the team when he returns home after the upcoming Tampa Bay series. Cross your fingers and toes!
The Dodgers managed to win a very unhappy game on Monday, even as the newly returned Blake Treinen tries to do it “Exciting” at the end.
They are now trying to win against the Reds on Tuesday but are still looking for their third this month.
They will face left-handed Nick Lodolo, who currently has the longest active-scoring streak in 14 innings. He has an ERA of 8-6 this year with a 3.08 ERA. On the last outing, he played a full match against the Nationals, hitting eight games, allowing only four hits, and no walks. In his last 22 innings, he allowed only two runs and 11 hits. In his last four games at home, he was allowed to run only five times in those games.
It will be difficult for the Dodgers, who have only had .216 BA and .293 OBP in the past month or so. As a team, they also went on strike at a rate of 26%. Lodolo has a very low walking rate, 1.7 per 9 innings, and has shot at least 85 goals in his last six games.
The Dodgers will fight back with Tyler Glasnow, who has been great since Illinois’ return. Glasnow steadily increased his outing duration, increasing from five to seven innings over his last three games. His last outing against Minnesota so far was his best, allowing only one inning in those seven full games and hitting 12.
It looks like a great pitching showdown, and hopefully it will be fun as we are all waiting for any news that leads to the trade deadline.
