New York Jets News: Braelon Allen is determined to pass tackle

  • by admin

Good morning gang green country! The mat was yesterday in practice with the New York Jets and the batting began. There are many new developments, some are good and some are bad. In a nice category, Justin Fields, who recently dislocated his toes, returned to full practice in just a few days. This is good news.

On the less good side of the ledger, 24-year-old Zach Evans retired. This is a demanding world in the NFL camp, and not everyone has a happy ending. Hopefully Evans will find another phone call soon. Also on the not-so-good side, UDFA rookie center Gus Hartwig appears to have a knee injury. Yesterday, the extent of the injury was unknown, but we should get more information as soon as possible. Hartwig faces an uphill battle to get the Jets roster out of training camp, and any missed time will make the situation even more difficult. Hopefully that young man will come back soon.

Finally, it's a little good, a little bad. The Jets brought old friend Nick Folk to the workout yesterday. The 40-year-old kicker has been very accurate in recent years, which has left him somewhat surprised to keep his signature unsigned. Reunion with the jet can be a very good thing. On the other hand, the Jets seem to hope that at least one of their two rookie kickers is a good option. Folk exercises may suggest that the hopes of jets in this regard are gradually disappearing.
