The Justice Department has filed a formal complaint accusing U.S. District Court Chief Justice James Boasberg of misconduct. Fox News reviewed the complaint, written by Attorney General Pam Bondi's Chief of Staff Chad Mizelle, and addressed the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sri Srinivasan, the U.S. District of Columbia Circuit Court.

Fox News learned that the complaint was brought under the guidance of Attorney General Pam Bondi.

“The Justice Department filed this complaint with respect, accusing U.S. District Court Chief Justice James E. Boasberg (James E.

Judge Boasberg presided over a high-profile case involving the deportation of several immigrants to El Salvador and spoke about despising the Division’s lawyers because he asserted that his orders did not follow his orders to reverse the airborne aircraft. President Trump also criticized Judge Boothberg.

The complaint details two comments by Justice Boasberg's Ministry of Justice claims undermine the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.

“On March 11, 2025, Judge Boothberg attended a meeting of the U.S. Judicial Conference, which exists to discuss administrative matters such as budget, security, and facilities. There, Judge Boothberg attempted to conduct inappropriate actions against Chief Justice Roberts and expressed his belief in the crisis by expressing his belief in the crisis of 'ruling'.

“Within days of these statements, Judge Boasberg began acting on his preconceived belief that the Trump administration would not comply with court orders. First, despite his lack of power, he issued a temporary restraining order to prevent the administration from canceling violent Tren de Aragua terrorists, which the Supreme Court worked together.

To sum up, Judge Boasberg's words and actions violate the norms of the code of conduct of US judges, erode public confidence in judicial neutrality, and guarantee a formal investigation. ”

The Justice Department asked Chief Justice Srinivasan to forward the complaint to the Special Committee of Inquiry to determine whether Judge Boasberg's actions constitute “actions that are effective and promptly managed to the court's business.” The complaint also calls for the removal of Judge Boasberg from the case of Venezuelan immigrants deported to El Salvador to prevent further erosion of public confidence as the investigation proceeds. ”

The case in question is JGG v. Trump.

This is the second time that the Bundy Justice Department has filed a formal complaint against a federal judge. In late February, the Justice Department filed a complaint against U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes about the so-called “misconduct” of Judge Reyes in a lawsuit by Nicolas Talbott and others. v. Donald J. Trump et al., a case filed by two LGBTQ groups, questioned the Trump administration's execution orders that prohibit transgender people from serving in the U.S. military.

The complaint comes as the Trump administration unearthed dozens of so-called “activist” judges who blocked or suspended the execution of some Trump seats during his second White House term.

Judge Boothberg found himself particularly at the center of Trump’s anger and launched an attack on the so-called “activist” judge in a temporary restraining order on March 15, which attempted to block Trump’s use of the Foreign Enemy Act to quickly expel hundreds of Venezuelan nationals from El Salvador.

Boasberg has ordered all El Salvador aircraft to return to the United States “immediately” and this has not happened.

His emergency order touched on a complex legal legend that eventually spawned dozens of federal court challenges across the country – although the challenge raised in his court on March 15 was the first – which later prompted the Supreme Court to rule in two different situations of a hasty removal of office violations of Immigration Violation under the U.S. Constitution for violations of the procedure for immigration protection.

As a result, Boasberg became the person at the center of legal radiation.

Trump administration officials have repeatedly ridiculed Boasberg for his orders and his attempts to determine whether they are sincere in obeying the orders, and Trump himself has already proposed the idea that Boasberg may pop up earlier this year – prompting Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to issue a rare public warning.

The complaint focused on months of conduct and allegations by Justice Boasberg, who was then-President George W. Bush, first served as judge in 2002, when he could once again make a voice in a major class action lawsuit filed on behalf of former Secott’s immigrant lawyers.

Lawyers for the ACLU and others in the class asked Judge Boasberg to reopen the findings of the case earlier this month, citing allegations in a UN report regarding the custody status of CECOT immigration, recently decided to send 252 immigrants from the United States to El Salvador to the prisoner exchange.

When the Justice Department attorney Tiberius Davis was heard last week at a court hearing on his status in court, they would say, “If it was a legal order.”

They also said they may seek appeals from the High Court.

In April, Judge Boasberg also ruled that the court ruled that “probable causes” made the Trump administration contempt for failing to return planes to U.S. land under the emergency order of March 15, and said the court ruled that the Trump administration showed “deliberate disregard for his order.”
