Paddack, 29, will be a free agent at the end of the season. He carried 4.95 ERAs in the first 21 games of the year, hitting 83 batsmen and walking 27 in 111 innings.
Paddack, one of six twins to enter the open market this offseason, will add depth to the talented Tiger rotation, and has been seeking a fifth starter since Jackson Jobe has been struggling with the squad-rule-rule-nuclear ligament this season. Late Monday, the Tigers announced that 25-year-old right-hander Reese Olson will miss the rest of the regular season due to shoulder strain, which makes them need to start sharper.
Dobnak, 30, spent most of the season in Triple-A, releasing at 7.12 in 17 games (10 games). Jimenez, 19, signed in Venezuela and hit .250/.339/.440 on the Tigers rookie-level member.
