Weyes Blood, Waxahatchee, Rufus Wainwright and Dan Reeder also participated in Jack Antonoff's “Alliance League Talent Show”
Jack Antonoff and the stands brought guests to the Newport Folk Festival last Friday, welcoming Hayley Williams, Jeff Tweedy, Weyes Blood and others as known on the stage as the “Alliance League Talent Show”.
Waxahatchee, Rufus Wainwright, and Dan Reeder also took part on the convivial affairs where to singers cycled to and from the microphone to help Bleachers and friends cover artists like Ella Fitzgerald (“Dream a Little Dream of Me”), Roy Orbison (“You Got It”), and Newport legend Bob Dylan (“Not Dark Yet”).
Tweedy's appearance features bleach and Wilco hosts Do you know there are tunnels under Ocean Avenue – Thoughts on Willco's own “kamera”. (Tweedy, like Waxahatchee and Reeder, is also booked to play their own scenes during the festival.)
Williams made her new song “Mirtzapine” with her cameo debut at the concert and joined Bleachers to sing the new wave classic “I Melt with You” in modern English.
