Details are still emerging Monday morning.
ATLANTA – A chaotic and violent night unfolded on Edgewood Street in Atlanta from Sunday to Monday morning, police responded to the shooting involving 11 victims, one of whom was killed.
Police told Atlanta Police Captain Jeff Childers that police responded to the 300 block of Edgewood Avenue, a popular nightlife zone near Sweet Auburn. He said the other 10 victims were considered stable.
The victim was described as a 27-year-old man. Ten other victims were described as aged 18-29 and were undergoing surgery as of about 5:30 a.m.

There is limited accurate information about how to shoot. Captain Childers could not immediately confirm whether there were multiple shooters, but said the suspect or suspect was believed to be walking. The police captain added that there were “several shells” at the scene.
A woman living in the area talked to Dan Kennedy of 11Alive and added uncertainty about the events around her, saying she saw a group of armed guns wearing backpacks on Sunday evening and standing in the middle of the street looking at cars inside in the middle of the street heading towards Edgewood.
Edgewood has at least two shooting scenes on Sunday, though Captain Childes said they were not considered unrelated. Among one, a person was found shot dead several times on Edgewood and Hilliard Street, which police said was a parking dispute. The man was brought to Grady in a steady state.
Another person was shot in an ankle at some point in Edgewood and Boulevard, and the victim was stable.
In addition, there is a death investigation, not far from Edgewood, connected to I-75/85 on the Freedom Parkway ramp. There is no indication of any connection to mass shooting.
The incidents continue to spend a violent weekend in Atlanta, with more than 30 people now being shot since Thursday.
