Chicago – United Center's Chicago Sky-Indiana fever showdown will not be planned.
Fever star Caitlin Clark has been ruled out of the game since appearing with a right groin injury on July 16. She sought other opinions on the injury, who determined that there was no additional damage and avoided serious injuries, but her return still had no timetable.

Chicago star forward Angel Reese was initially questioned for a back injury but has since been excluded about an hour before the game. It was Reese's second straight game as she also missed Thursday's Chicago game against Seattle.
“I mean, that didn't change our strategy, we prepared Angel for her when she was on the floor. We knew she was the best rebounder in the league and the way they were moving forward at that moment sometimes brought some challenges.” “But they also have the ability to be able to have the size of the bench and rebounding ability. They don't use these players like they would with the Angels, but they are also big in size and able to knock down glasses, and they are one of the best rebounding teams in the league.”
Sky Backup guard Hailey van Lith also got out on Sunday, with guard Courtney Vandersloot planning to play this season after a tear-up of the ACL, lowering the sky to eight available players. The minimum league limit for players available in a game is seven.
