Cleveland Browns' QB plan is bad news for Shedeur Sanders

  • by admin

Cleveland Browns doubled their quarterback position in the 2025 NFL Draft. They brought in Dillon Gabriel in the third round and Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round.

In addition to the two rookies, general manager Andrew Berry also switched Kenny Pickett from the Faladelphia Eagles and signed veteran quarterback Joe Flacco at the free agent company. In one offseason, plus quarterback, Deshaun Watson was still locked into a big contract, and it was offensive for two years.

Fans want to see Sanders become the Browns' long-term quarterback in the future. However, there may be other plans for the franchise.

Although they became aggressive and drafted two quarterbacks this season, team owner Jimmy Haslam may be looking for his long-term answer elsewhere.

Colin Cowherd, one of the most famous media figures in the business, shared a shocking report on the central plan for Cleveland’s future.

In his show, Cowherd revealed many details about the Browns’ level of interest in Texas Longhorn quarterback Arch Manning. It does sound like Cleveland’s long-term quarterback target is Manning, and Nick Saban has the potential to be the team’s future head coach.

“This is the worst secret in the South,” said Cohud. “The owner of the Browns Jimmy – the huge SEC of the Tennessee Booster, leaning heavily on the Mannings. Very close to the Mannings.

“[Nick] Saban is also very close to not only Jimmy Haslam, but also to Manning's family. So, Saban, if he can log in, I'm told, quarterback-like Harbo went to the charger [Justin] Herbert – He will answer the NFL call. …This is not a conspiracy theory. ”

It would be a huge change for the Browns to take the move towards Manning and Saban. Obviously, this will also be the end of Sanders’ potential long-term choice for Cleveland.

There is no indication whether Manning will announce that he is eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft. He has the option to stick with it in college and continue to play for Texas.

But if Brown and Haslam were already on sale on Manning, they might find a way to do that.

It is worth noting that Cleveland did get a second round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which was passed by swapping Travis Hunter for the Jacksonville Jaguars. If he does announce, the front desk will have parts to move in order to jump up.

Expect to continue hearing more about Brown and Manning. Haslam seems to like the idea, but until the next offseason, it will happen.
