“He’s not responsible for engineering their engineering,” Hamlin said. “I think he’s challenging his staff to come up with some different answers. He knows the parts and parts are the same, but obviously, I think what he’s saying is we have to get them together better.”
So, what is the problem with RCR? Is it a car, setup, engine, crew? At this point, what the feeling might be.

As a driver and team owner, Hamlin praised Childress’s honesty on the broadcast. He called his team somehow.
“I can tell you this is a driver, though, and you like that.” “I want that. If I know I'm going to shoot a knife, then think, I want my master to carry my driver on my back, this is not our driver.”
If this has any negative impact, RCR staff may back off the challenge rather than accepting it. Again, at this point Childes will know who he needs to keep and who needs to go.
“I think the negative is that you know, now you're going to put the spotlight on all the people who are making the decision, and they're probably going to feel stressed,” Denny Hamlin continued. “You know, if you can't take the stress, leave the kitchen. I just think the positive effect outweighs it. I think when you say that, you're going to come back.”
