The Justice Department said its approach to Jeffrey Epstein's investigation has changed, with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche revealing that he has reached out to Ghislaine Maxwell to assess her willingness to work with prosecutors.
Blanche confirmed Tuesday that the Justice Department is currently willing to hear what Maxwell might offer about pro bono people who might be involved in Epstein’s criminal business under the guidance of Attorney General Pam Bondi.
“The Justice Department has not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor is it the responsibility to seek justice anywhere the facts can bring,” Blanche said in an article on Tuesday.
The House Oversight Committee also took action in the case by voting to Subpoena Maxwell to ask her to appear in court for testimony.

House Oversight Committee sources told Fox News that the committee will be quickly transferred to subpoena Maxwell. They said that because she is in federal prison, the committee will coordinate with the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Prisons to arrange her testimony.
Blanche reiterated a July 6 joint statement issued by the Justice Department and the FBI in a statement Tuesday, concluding that the FBI archives related to the Epstein case were thoroughly reviewed and no new evidence was found to support the allegations against other parties.
“That is, in a recent thorough review of documents maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case, no evidence was found that an uncharged third party could be investigated.”

The memorandum was signed by FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, and has sparked controversy after President Donald Trump, Bundy and FBI leaders repeatedly stated that they would release all documents related to Epstein.
Sources told Fox News that Bongino, who signed on the memorandum, complained about it in a private capacity after public objections.

Blanche said the new publicity for Maxwell was to hope that Epstein’s convicted accomplices “have information about anyone who committed crimes against the victims.”
“President Trump told us to release all credible evidence…” “So, under the guidance of Attorney General Bundy, I have communicated with Ms. Maxwell's attorney to determine whether she would like to talk to the department's attorney.”

According to Blanche, Maxwell’s new outreach marks the first time any government has contacted her legal team through an investigation into potential collaboration.
“There's a change now,” Blanche stressed.

Maxwell's attorney David Oscar Markus confirmed to Fox News that they “are in discussions with the government and that Ghislaine will always testify with truth.”
“We thank President Trump for his promise to reveal the truth in this situation,” he said.
Patel responded to Blanche’s statement in a concise manner and wrote on Tuesday: “Get.”

A federal judge suspended U.S. government efforts to unravel the grand jury transcript from the Maxwell case, demanding more detailed legal basis and submitting materials completely before the ruling.
In an order filed Tuesday, Southern New York District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer said prosecutors failed to address the legal standards needed to disclose such sensitive documents.
By July 29, the government must submit a memorandum and provide edited and unedited versions of the grand jury transcript. Maxwell and any victims who want to weigh must submit a statement by August 5.
If not sealed, the transcript may reveal previously invisible testimony and may identify others associated with Epstein's business.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for helping Epstein transport teenage girl. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison and has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
According to testimony from prosecutors and survivors, Maxwell helped recruit and raise underage girls, arrange travel and housing, and promote abuse in Epstein-owned property.
The victim described Maxwell as a trustworthy adult who manipulated and forced them to have sex with Epstein and others.
