Sheppard (6-2, 198 lbs) was one of seven players trying the Broncos in a mandatory mini camp, but none of them signed. The 23-year-old receiver spent four years at Vanderbilt before moving to Colorado before the 2024 season.

He had an impressive fall on the buffalo, with a total of 48 catches for a total of 621 yards and six touchdowns in 2024. Shepard ended his college career with 200 catches for 2,688 yards and 27 touchdowns in 55 games. Sheppard is now signing with the Packers as a college free agent after an unselected in April.

As for Denver, the top catchers they entered the camp were Courtland Sutton, DeVaughan Weller, Marvin Mims, Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin and Trent Schöfield.
