NYSVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis announced Monday that Will Levis has chosen to undergo end-of-season surgery on his right shoulder.
Levis will perform his first first defeat against the Miami Dolphins on September 30, and he will undergo surgery on July 29. He will not have surgery with the team when they report to St. Thomas Sports Park on Tuesday.
No. 1 Cameron Ward will play all Titans’ first-tier champions in training camp and may be supported by veteran free agent Brandon Allen.
After being injured last season, Levis returned to the Indianapolis Colts a week after seeing each other, but was invalid and missed the next three games. He finished the season with a 2-10 start, throwing 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
After initially opting not to have the surgery, Levis was staying in the OTA that was preparing to compete with Ward for the starter job and did not seem to have any problems with the shoulders in OTAS and Minump.
Levis spent the offseason training with individual quarterback coach Jordan Palmer. The shoulder injury seems to be over, and Levith said he felt good when he focused on footwork with Palmer in California after “release of the stroke.”
Callahan had Levis and Ward with first-team replacements during OTA. The spin during the mini-training camp starts Ward and gives way to Levis for a few sales before returning to huddle. Allen and Tim Boyle took over Ward and Levis.
