While the 2025 NFL season is still a bit far away, the San Francisco 49ers have fully reported training camp, with their first practice scheduled to be held Wednesday at the SAP Performance facility in Santa Clara, California.
However, a group of players who entered the camp will be the same as the ones they played together in Week 1. There will be more cuts, signings and deals to change the trajectory of its season in the coming weeks.

Interestingly, Jacob Infante of Pro Football and Sports Network recently predicted that San Francisco would conduct major trade during training camp and send Jauan Jennings elsewhere.
“Amid rumors that Jauan Jennings wants a new contract before it expires in 2026, the San Francisco 49ers find themselves in a nervous place,” Infante said. “They have long-term deals like Brock Purdy, Nick Bosa, Brandon Aiyuk and Fred Warner. If they are unwilling to pay Jennings what he wants, they may find themselves competing.”
Jennings, 28, has earned 155 passes for 1,938 yards and 13 touchdowns over his four-year career, including 77 games in 2024, 975 yards and six touch seasons. He entered the last two years of signing in May last year, the last year of $11.89 million.
San Francisco needs help on a wide range of receivers early in the offseason, with Deebo Samuel making a deal with the Washington Commander, and Brandon Aiyuk may be missing the same time as he recovers from the ACL, MCL and Meniscus at the start of the 2025 season. Continuing forward from Jennings could impact the 49ers' offense and bring it back to the playoff chance.
